Minimal is very dangerous to attempt to pull of but I think that it works with the audience that your poster is aimed at. The stamped lettering fits the imagery. I only wish that I couldn't see the area from which the lettering was taken, namely in the letter "V". I think that "Vote" is well placed to balance out the imagery. Part of me still wonders what it would look like if the word "Vote" was bigger.
